experiencing San Francisco

I arrived in San Francisco on Tuesday, 30th after a six hour drive through the Great Valley of Central California in a Dodge van with past AES President and Audio Engineer Ron Streicher (who calls himself an “Audio Engineering Grandfather). After a site visit at St. Mary’s Cathedral on Wednesday morning I had the rest of the day off and found myself riding the famous cable cars the whole day. Anyway, I walked around San Francisco for about five hours and had a great time. I had lunch at a burger restaurant called “Mo’s” on Grant Ave which was recommended to me by my German colleague Corbinian. After all, it was very much worth while and I enjoyed the day off. When I got “home” to the hostel I discovered that new people had arrived, so for yesterday it was an “all-German” room. How strange is that? You travel half the world and find yourself in a room with three other Germans…
