Marathon, Malibu & more

Last weekend I was going to run a five kilometer race as part of the inaugural Pasadena Marathon. Unfortunately however, the race was cancelled the Saturday night due to the air pollution caused by the heavy wildfires around Los Angeles. Even though the air didn’t seem to be bad in the morning, it definitely got worse throughout the day and by noon Downtown LA and even Pasadena were wrapped up in a cloud of smog and ash. So I dediced to make a trip to Malibu beach instead and catch some fresh air. The weather was really nice once again with temperatures up in the 90ies (above 30 degrees Celsius) and I enjoyed my day off very much. I’m not going to let my running down however and I’m seriously thinking about running a Half-Marathon before I leave California.
