My colleague Andrew Mottl has edited a short promotional trailer of the new Andy Gillmann DVD “Top 10 Grooves and Beats” for which I took responsibility in the audio department. I have published the english dubbed version of the trailer in the showreel section and I happily invite you to have a look (and listen). 1st prize in AES recording competition

It is an honor to announce that my entry to the AES recording competition in the “non-classical” surround category has been awarded for first prize. The jury consisting of Ronald Prent (Galaxy Studios, Belgium) and Bob Ludwig (Gateway Mastering, Portland) commented that my work sounded very professional and had very little complaints overall which resulted in a high score. In addition, the prize was awarded with a Neumann microphone.

123rd AES convention in New York City

I will attend the upcoming convention of the Audio Engineering Society in New York City from 5th-8th of October in order to represent the student section Duesseldorf. Furthermore I participate in the catogory non-classical surround of the recording competition with a track that I produced for the singer/songwriter Steven Merson. The finalists will be announced on the first day of the convention and they will get the chance to present their work to the public in a final competition round.
